Your taste profile

Ratings, reasons, played or watched items, saved choices, exclusions, recommendation activity and learned profile state are stored locally in your browser. Recolume does not currently require an account or upload this profile to a Recolume user database.

Because this information is local, clearing browser storage or changing devices can remove access to it unless you export a backup.

Taste Search

The free-text sentence you type into Taste Search is interpreted in your browser. Recolume does not intentionally send the sentence itself to product analytics. When you continue into Games or Movies, Recolume passes only structured intent signals such as session length, intensity or atmosphere where they were detected.

Product analytics

Recolume uses Cloudflare Zaraz for lightweight product analytics. The product may record events such as a page view, recommendation flow completion, return visit, broad referral source, number of ratings, or the category of a next action.

Recolume's analytics helper deliberately filters event properties. It is designed not to send the titles you rate, your exact ratings, the answers you choose, selected taste reasons, or your free-text Taste Search sentence.

Browser storage

Recolume uses localStorage and sessionStorage for profile continuity, recent activity, visit continuity and temporary handoff between Recolume pages. These are functional parts of the product, not advertising profiles.

Third-party destinations

Games may link to official stores such as Steam. Following an external link means the destination's own privacy practices apply. Recolume does not currently enable paid partner links unless a destination is explicitly marked as a partner.

Your control

You can remove or reset local profile data from the product, and you can export a portable backup before moving device or clearing browser data. A full cross-experience Recolume backup is available from Your Recolume.

The exported JSON file can contain your ratings, feedback and local profile state. Recolume does not upload that file for you, so store or share it only where you are comfortable keeping personal preference data.
